Raipur: Anganwadi at the Bhatagaon area in Raipur organized the vaccination program for today. Chaos was witnessed on the very first day as it began late by an hour and officers denied inoculation of people above the poverty line.

The officer stated that according to the orders only citizens below the poverty line would be the first priority in this phase. This disappointed middle-class sector sending a wave of angst amongst them. People who had already registered online were refused vaccination at the centre. Statements like, “sorry you won’t get vaccinated” engaged the mass into a huge argument with the health care workers.

Sources report the Chhattisgarh government has given priority to the BPL family in the vaccination drive at present. Currently, only Antyodaya ration card holders in the centres will be eligible for the jab.
