Raipur: Chhattisgarh continues to record a decline in its active cases. In the last 24 hours, the state health department reported 17,263 recuperations taking the total recuperations to 4,59,600. As per analysis this is the third day in a week when the state record arises in its recuperation. Around 14, 519 new infections were recorded.
Earlier this week, 15,625 new patients were found on April 20, while 15,830 recovered. The number of recoveries on April 18 was 14,075 as compared to 12,345 new patients. So far, 5 lakh 88 thousand 818 people have been affected by corona infection in the state. Out of these, 4 lakh 59 thousand 600 people have recovered. At present, 1 lakh 22 thousand 751 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals and home isolation in the state.
However, the fatality rate still lingers fear across the health department. With the latest count of 193 deaths, the cumulative count of the state deceased has risen to 6,467.
The health department is currently conducting 50,000 tests a day. Preparations are underway to conduct 60,000 to 70,000 tests per day. The government is also preparing to construct 13,000 oxygen beds across the state. Out of this, only 6,000 beds have been provided with an oxygen facility. The Health Minister said, “There is adequate production of oxygen in the state. But we don’t have jumbo cylinders. Due to this, most of the beds are not able to be connected to the pipeline. Help has been sought from the Central Government and private agencies for the same. ‘
