Raipur: After a long hiatus, Chhattisgarh registered a speedy recovery rate on Sunday, after 14,075 individuals recuperated. With 28-30% as the infection rate, the state detected 12,345 new cases in the past 24 hours out of the 42,652 samples collected on Sunday. The death rate of the state continues to record more than 100 cases in a single day. Around 170 individuals died in the past 24 hours.

More than 1.12 lakh patients have recovered so far after hospitalization in Chhattisgarh. Raipur health bulletin reported more than 20,00 recuperations. 

Meanwhile, CM Bhupesh Bagel has ordered intensive screening in mining industries. Screening points are set up at railway stations, airports, and inter-state borders. He ordered the collectors of the villages to conduct individual-centric screening. The districts are directed to seal the inter-state borders and establish COVID centres. Around 14,000 beds in private hospitals have been allocated for COVID emergencies. Currently, 528 ICU beds, 4,865 oxygen beds, and 14,433 general beds are available.

Health Minister TS Singhdev said, “Tender has been released for 22 lakh testing kits and 90,000 Remdesivir injections. Around 20,000 vials will be supplied in one time.”
