Bastar: The Chhattisgarh government has set 28 security camps in the last 2 years in Maoist affected area Bastar region. The establishment of such camps has restored democracy in Bastar, pushing back the Naxals and adding momentum to development work
In an official statement, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said,” inaccessible Naxal hit areas of Bastar, where it was difficult to even walk, have roads, electricity supply, education, and health facilities now.”
He further informed that overall, 28 security camps were set up over the past 2 years to uplift the development strategies of this area.
Congress took charge of the state in December 2018, nearly after 15 years of BJP rule. Since then, the state has witnessed 21 new roads built in the Maoist hit area, while remote areas are being connected through a network of about 700 km of roads. These include the Bijapur-Adapalli-Jagargunda, Narayanpur-Palli-Barsur, Antagarh Bedma, Chintalapalli- Nayapara, Chintal Nar-Madai Guda, Konta-Golla Palli roads.
