Raipur: Despite recording a declining COVID-19 curve, the Chhattisgarh State Health Department witnesses no peace as the Mucormycosis count of the state surges.
A total of 239 cases have been reported by the state health bulletin, amongst which, 206 have been presenting active symptoms of the post-covid-complication while 21 of them recuperated and 12 succumbed.
As per top surgeons across the state, a total of 110 patients have undergone surgery to get rid of the infected organ. An analysis of the hospital data stated 64 patients from Durg, followed by 31 each from Raipur and Bilaspur, and 21 from Raigarh were operated for unprecedented complications.
Meanwhile, the COVID crisis of the state seemed to be offshore as 2589 COVID patients were discharged against the caseload of 1,615 reported across the state on Sunday. The cumulative infected tally has increased to 9,80,575 while the overall recuperations stood at 944078.
The state’s active tally is 23,280 and the current positivity rate is 2.4% and the recovery rate is 96.3%, said top officials. With 25 deaths, the mortality count rose to 13,217. However, no deaths were reported from the Raipur district on Saturday.
As per state health officials, the highest number of Covid deaths of 3,112 were reported from Raipur district in the past one year. The least number of 11 covid deaths were reported from Narayanpur districts.
