Raipur: As the state records a spike in COVID-19 cases, authorities imposed a night curfew in several districts including the capital. Moreover, it has instructed educational institutions across districts recording a positivity rate of greater than 4 per cent to halt their operations.

Ahead of the culmination of the academic session, the state education department has issued new guidelines pertaining to which the schools will have to schedule the practicals for 10-12th board exams.

As per the instruction issued by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, no external examiner for class 10-12th practical examination should be assigned. The institution should engage an internal examiner. School officials have to schedule the examination as per the COVID norms issued by the govt where students should be called in batches. Regular sanitization of the premises is also pressed by the govt.

In districts that have shut down schools, they are directed to conduct exams after operations in their institution are resumed. The school authorities would have to write to the concerned District Education Officer obtaining permission to conduct exams.
