New Delhi: The state of Chhattisgarh has put up its stall at the 41st India International Trade Fair organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, which is being visited by a large number of people. This year the theme of the fair is ‘Vocal for Local’. Chhattisgarh state has decorated its pavilion in ‘local to global’ theme. Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Managing Director Saransh Mittar inaugurated the pavilion of Chhattisgarh.
This fair is going to be held from November 14 to 27. All 29 states and union territories are participating in this international trade fair. In the fair, all the states are showing the specialty of their state along with the complete story of their development. Apart from this, they are also showcasing their industrial, agricultural, and handmade products.
Chhattisgarh’s pavilion (stall) in the International Trade Fair has been set up this year at Hall No. 2, First Floor. A total of 12 stalls have been set up for display in an area of 300 square feet. In the frame of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Local to Global’, stalls of Chhattisgarh’s village industries, products of self-help groups, handloom, handicrafts, herbal, and agriculture departments have been set up. At the same time, the State Cultural Day will be celebrated on November 21. Artists of Chhattisgarh will showcase the rich folk art and culture of the state on the occasion.
People from all over the country and abroad come to see these programs every year. Apart from this, the people of Chhattisgarh who currently live in Delhi, also come in large numbers to watch programs related to their state, as well as feel the taste of their home by eating food in the food stalls. The International Trade Fair was inaugurated by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. A glimpse of Amrit Mahotsav will also be seen at the fair.
