RAIGARH: CG CM Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday flagged off the state’s first mobile millet cafe “Millet on Wheels”, in Raigarh district.He cut a cake made of Ragi on the ocassion. Interacting with the media, Baghel said the initiative will help increase awareness about the consumption of millet.
The mobile millet cafe will be run by Anubhav women’s group. Dishes from Kudo, Kutki, and Ragi will be served by the mobile cafeteria.
The state govt under ‘Millet Mission’ is promoting the production and consumption of millets. It is also procuring these grains from farmers at MSP.
“As a value addition, a processing plant of millets has been set up at Nathia-Navagaon in the Kanker district, and more such units will be established at rural industrial parks being developed in gauthans, an official in the know said.”
