Raipur: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a rain alert for April 2-4, and the state of Chhattisgarh will get some relief from the scorching heat. It is stated by the weather department that thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms could occur in several districts of the state. On April 1, the weather is set to remain clear meanwhile.
Rainfall Alert for Different Districts
On the basis of the latest alerts issued by the IMD, three days from now, the region-specific alerts have been issued for them.
According to IMD, Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Surguja, Jashpur, Balrampur, Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Raipur, Durg, Bemetara, Dhamtari, Korba, Rajnandgaon, Sukma, Bijapur and other districts of Chhattisgarh on April 2.
Koriya, Manendragarh, Raipur, Balodabazar, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Durg, Bemetara, Kabirdham and Bastar are likely to experience weather changes on April 3.
Rainfall and thunderstorms are on the cards for Bastar, Kanker, Narayanpur, Gariaband, Surguja, Jashpur and Manendragarh on April 4th.
Reason Behind the Weather Change
It is further claimed by meteorologists that a trough line runs from South Chhattisgarh to Vidarbha to Central Maharashtra. On top of that, changes in this weather are being affected by a cyclonic circulation centred over this region, which is causing thunderstorms and cooling.
Temperature Drop Expected
After these weather changes, the day is likely to be remarkably dry for the next two days. That said, following that, temperatures are likely to drop by another 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, offering additional relief from the heat.
Raipur will see a maximum temperature of around 41°C and a minimum temperature of around 24°C. Raipur also recorded the hottest place in the state Monday at 40.3 degrees Celsius, which was 2.7 degrees Celsius above normal.
