Raipur: Chhattisgarh gears up to host the Asia Art festival 2022 at Gaurav Garden on April 1st and 2nd. The Asia Art Festival is a state of art, world-class event to bring together talents across the globe.
This year the organization chose Chhattisgarh to bring together a myriad of creative sectors such as Arts and crafts, Performance Arts, Photography, Culinary Arts and Music. Over 300 artists from CG have registered for the event, officials from the organization said. “Singers Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai will be performing live at the Asia Art Festival, the co-ordinators added.” The event would boost the state’s creative economy and would also bridge the supply-demand chain.
Sharing insights into the event, Ishan Bhalla, Ambassador of Indian Arts & Director of Asia Art Festival, said, “The biggest challenge to plan Asia Art Festival in Chhattisgarh was to identify a certain creative segment when there wasn’t much enterprise in the arts field, and it was really a challenge to bring up a for-commercial creative model for the artists of Chhattisgarh as well as create a social impact.”
The event falls in line with the state govt’s industrial policy- “Gadhbo Nava Chhattisgarh.” The Baghel led govt crafted this policy under which the varied culture and heritage of the state have aggressively progressed.
The Asian Art Festival led by Ishaan Bhalla is committed to display Indian art and culture globally through government schemes, direct investments, and collaborations. It aims to empower the artists, craftsmen, artisans of the Indian textile sector and work towards bridging the gap between the maker and the buyer and inculcating a sense of pride in a ‘Make in India’ product – thereby boosting the confidence of the Indian art and craft industry.
