RAIPUR: The Bhupesh Baghel Cabinet at a meeting today in a landmark move took two important decisions. One is a policy to eradicate Naxalism from the state and another is the draft for Chhattisgarh Media Personnel Protection Bill-2023. Under the chairmanship of Bhupesh Baghel, Akarshi Kashyap winner of the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games was appointed as the Deputy SP of Police.

- the Right of Lease Bill-2023 to homeless persons of Chhattisgarh urban areas
- the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill-2023 was approved.
- the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Members’ Salary, Allowances, and Pension (Amendment) Bill-2023 were approved.
The Education Department has been authorized to implement the World Bank project worth Rs 2500 crore to enhance the quality of education in Chhattisgarh and the Finance Department has been authorized to finalize the loan.
Decision was also taken to temporarily create a new post of Officer on Special Duty at Police Headquarters, Chhattisgarh Nava Raipur for a period of one year.
