Chhattisgarh: A teacher beat his wife to death with a rod late Friday night in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband. After this reached the police station at midnight and surrendered. The wife of the accused was also a teacher. On receiving the information, the police sent the body for a postmortem on Saturday morning. And suddenly the health of the accused also deteriorated. After this, he has been admitted to the hospital. The case is of the City Kotwali area. According to information, Domankant Dhruv, a resident of Piparchedi near Chhura, is a teacher in Idagaon and his wife Meena was a teacher in Ganjaipur village. Both were living in village Majarkatta in their own house. It is being said that around 12 o’clock on Friday late night, Domankant had a dispute with his wife Meena under the influence of alcohol. The matter increased so much that he beat her to death with an iron rod. Seeing Meena lying on the floor covered in blood, Domankant reached Kotwali City Police Station in the night itself and informed them about the murder. On this, the police reached the house late at night and sealed it. The next day on Saturday morning Meena’s body was sent for a postmortem. Both have a 10-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. It is being said that Domankant is addicted to alcohol. Due to this, there used to be a dispute between the two on a frequent basis.
