Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh: Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh police vehicle met with an accident in Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Saturday. The driver of the jeep died in the accident. While six other policemen including the accused and the station in charge were injured. Among these, the condition of ASI Dinesh Chauhan is said to be very critical. All have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place in the Bhedaghat area of Jabalpur. According to the information, Manendragarh police were returning from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh after arresting Rakesh Kumar, an accused of Section-354. It is being told that at around 4 am on Saturday, the driver of the police vehicle, Akash Rajwade, fell asleep near Bhedaghat. Due to this the vehicle became uncontrolled and collided with the divider and overturned on the road. He died on the spot in the accident.
On receiving the information, the Jabalpur police reached and brought all the injured in the vehicle to the hospital. The injured include Manendragarh City Kotwali in-charge Sachin Singh, ASI Dinesh Chauhan, head constable Ishtiaq Khan, constables Pramod Yadav, Jitendra Thakur and accused Rakesh Kumar. At the same time, MLAs Gulab Kamro and Vinay Jaiswal have given instructions for better treatment. All the policemen and the accused were traveling in the Innova car bearing the number CG16CN2705, which met with the accident.
