Raipur: As the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh approach closer, Congress arranged a Nomination Rally today under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
“The victorious conch sound of BJP’s clean sweep in Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel ji, State Congress President Shri Deepak Baij ji. A hearty welcome to all friends of “Justice and Trust” in today’s Nomination Rally”, reposted CM Baghel a tweet originally posted by INC Chhattisgarh.
On October 16, 2023, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a nomination rally in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates for the upcoming assembly polls.
Shah’s rally was attended by thousands of BJP supporters from across the state. In his speech, Shah attacked the ruling Congress government in Chhattisgarh, accusing it of corruption and misgovernance. He also promised that the BJP would bring back development to the state if it is voted to power in the upcoming polls.
Shah’s rally was seen as a major show of strength by the BJP ahead of the assembly polls. The BJP is hoping to make a comeback in Chhattisgarh after losing power to the Congress in the 2018 elections.
The Congress, on the other hand, has dismissed Shah’s rally as a gimmick. The party has accused the BJP of trying to divert attention from its own failures by making false promises to the people.
