Bilaspur: A husband accused of killing his wife on suspicion of infedility was detained by the Bilaspur police. As per reports, body remains were found from a water tank on Sunday night. The body is said to be of Sati Sahu.
Investigations revealed the death took place 1-2 months ago. The crime surfaced after the neighbors complained of a foul smell from their house, which prompted the police to initiate a search. Accused Pawan Thakur a resident of Takhatpur village in CG married Sati Sahu ten years ago and married Sati Sahu who was from another caste in love. The couple lived in Usalpur and also had two children. The couple is reported to have had frequent fights over suspicions of infidelity.
Thakur was questioned and his rented house on search unearthed a foul smelling decomposed remains of the victim in a plastic back taped. The body is said to be cut into five pieces and mutilated. It is said that Pawan sent his kids to another family while he committed the murder.
The body has been sent for autopsy and a forensic team has been engaged in the process. Further details into the incident are awaited.
