Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The Raipur police and NCB have caught a couple with drugs at the city’s airport. The girl is found to be a regular drug addict. She also used to take drugs with her boyfriend and friends. Both of them tried to smuggle it to Goa but were caught red-handed by the Raipur police. They were caught by the team of NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) from Raipur airport and handed over to the police. Now Raipur police is questioning them related to drug smuggling. Three grams of drugs named Methamphetamine have been recovered from them.
According to the information revealed so far, the name of the girl who was caught by the police is Deepti Rani Bhardwaj. She is 29 and is a resident of Pali, Korba. She was used to come to Raipur. Her boyfriend Sandeep Chandrakar used to live here. This young man is basically a resident of Mahasamund. NCB received a tip about these two that they are taking drugs to Goa. On Friday, they were caught at the airport while going to Goa.
Very cleverly, these lovers made a plan to send the drugs through courier to an address in Goa. They were afraid that they might be caught at the airport. That’s why the plan was to keep drugs in T-shirts and send them to Goa through a courier company. Then go to Goa and receive the parcel at the given address. In fact, both had planned to go to Goa to party and enjoy a vacation.
After this, the girl left the parcel by going to the agency named Maruti Courier of Devendra Nagar, keeping the drugs inside the T-shirt. The company found some suspicious items in the parcel after scanning. Ram Yadav, the legal head of the company in Ahmedabad, sent an email to the NCB. Then the team of NCB Indore reached Raipur with an officer named Sunil Kumar Verma. They checked the parcel and traced the couple and caught them at the airport. Later they were handed over to the Devendra Nagar police.
