Bilaspur. The hearing in the High Court on the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Soumya Chaurasia, arrested in the much-talked-about liquor scam case in Chhattisgarh, has concluded. A single bench of Justice Arvind Kumar Verma reserved its order after hearing arguments from all parties in the case. The court granted interim relief to petitioner Soumya Chaurasia until the final verdict is delivered. The court will announce its decision in this case on January 13th.

In fact, Soumya Chaurasia has filed an anticipatory bail application against the production warrant issued by the ACB/EOW. It is noteworthy that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested her in the liquor scam case, after which the matter has been in the headlines. Following the completion of the hearing in the High Court, all eyes are now on the verdict on January 13th, which will determine the future course of the case. 

According to records, the bail petition was filed on January 2, 2026, and registered on January 5, 2026. The case is currently pending. According to case details, Soumya Chaurasia is currently in judicial custody at Central Jail, Raipur. Her address is listed as Surya Residency, Junwani Road, Kohka, Bhilai. The respondent in this case is the State of Chhattisgarh, represented by the EOW/ACB.
