Raipur: Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the women of the Ujala Village Organization of Serikhedi will deliver 60,000 flags officials said. Around 30 women of the organization will deliver flags made of polyester and Khadi.
The flags as per the dimensions given by the central authorities will be made of 20×30 inches and will be available for sale at all general stores and local outlets.
Officials also added that the flags could be picked up from the shelves of C-Mart at affordable prices.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday changed the display picture or DP of his social media pages to national flag and urged all the countrymen to do same.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, he said, “It is a special 2nd August today! At a time when we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is all set for #HarGharTiranga, a collective movement to celebrate our Tricolour.””I have changed the DP on my social media pages and urge you all to do the same,” he added.
The campaign launched by the central government as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav calls upon every Indian citizen to hoist the tricolour on their rooftops to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
