RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh HC on Monday reserved its order on the anticipatory bail for ex Indian Revenue Service officer Aman Singh, former Principal Secretary to the former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in amassing disproportionate assets.

It must be noted that the former IRS officer had earlier approached a session court. The Supreme Court and the Chhattisgarh High Court refused to provide him relief and rejected his bail plea.

It is worth mentioning that in February 2020, the Anti Corruption Bureau and Economic Offence Wing of the State had registered a case against the former IRS officer under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The former officer was accused of indulging in corrupt practices and money laundering while it was also alleged in the FIR that he held assets which were disproportionate to his known source of income
