Raipur: The elections for the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023 have started from 7 am today. In the first phase, elections are being held in 20 assembly seats. Just before the start of elections, Naxalites have carried out a major incident. Naxalites have carried out IED blast in Tondamarka area. A CRPF jawan has been injured in this incident.
According to the information, for polling security in the morning, Cobra 206 and CRPF personnel from Camp Tondamarka had gone towards Almagunda village in area domination campaign. During patrolling, Cobra 206 soldier Inspector Shrikant got blasted when his leg fell on an IED planted by Naxalites from the east. First aid to the injured soldier is being given by the medical officer in the camp.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the general meeting in the BJP program organized at Jamboree Ground in Datima during his visit to Surajpur. PM Modi will reach Datima Helipad by helicopter at 10.45 am. Will reach the venue at 10.55 am. Will address the general meeting at 11 o’clock. After that we will leave for Madhya Pradesh at 11.55 am.
Earlier on Novemebr 6, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi was in Madhya Pradesh when she was presented an empty bouquet. The incident left Congress leaders in split, however, BJP leader Rakesh Tripathi quirkily termed it as ‘bouquet scam’. Today, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will come to Sanjari Balod on 7th November to exert her strength. Here she will address the election meeting in favor of Congress candidate Sangeeta Sinha. Whereas in Kurud, she will hold a public meeting in support of candidate Tarini Chandrakar.
