Sukma: The first phase of elections is to be held on 7 November. Naxalites are continuously carrying out cowardly acts to influence the elections. Meanwhile, news of death of a Naxalite in an accident has come to light. It is being told that a Naxalite died due to an IED blast while the Naxalites were planting an IED.
According to information received from sources, IED was being planted by Naxalites between Mukaram and Markaguda of Sukma. Meanwhile, an IED blast took place, due to which the Naxalite died. However, this incident has not been officially confirmed yet.
Earlier on November 4, earch team of CARIPU 85th Corps has recovered the 3 kg IED from Burji village under Gangalur police station area. The team of 85th Corps Caripu BDS has deactivated it on the spot. While neutralizing the IED, CRPF 85th Corps soldier Prashant Bhuiya suffered minor injuries. The medical officer treated the injured soldier in Pusnar Camp.
Hours before the Prime Minister’s scheduled public meeting in Kanker on November 2, Naxalites have killed three villagers in Kanker district and one in Bijapur. On receiving information about the incident, police force reached the spot and a search operation is going on in the surrounding area to ensure security arrangements.
Naxalites have killed three villagers on suspicion of being police informers in Chhotabethiya police station area of Kanker district. It is being reported that four days ago Naxalites had taken away the villagers from their homes.
After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the bodies of the three were found near Murkhondi village. The villagers have reached the police station with the dead body. Among the killed villagers, Kulle Katlami, 35 years, Manoj Kovachi, 22 years, Dugge Kovachi, 27 years, all the deceased are residents of Morakhandi, Tehsil Pakhanjur.
