RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Budget session will begin on March 1 with the customary address of Governor Anusuiya Uikey despite tussle between Congress government and Raj Bhavan over the alleged delay in Governor’s assent for the 76% reservation bills, which were passed by the assembly during a special session on December 2.

The session, scheduled till March 24, will have 13 sittings, a notification issued by the state assembly secretariat said.

Budget 2023-24 assumes significance as chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will be presenting his fifth and election year budget during this session. However, the date for presentation of budget is yet to be finalised.
