Raipur: A case was registered against 5 persons for allegedly duping Rs 10 lakh by promising them jobs in Public Works Dept, Police Dept and Forest Dept. This unscrupulous act was performed in the name of a Minister, police said. The prime accused is identified as Hussain Rizvi alias Hasan Khan a resident of Bhilai Charoda. A probe on the matter is being run by the Devendra Nagar Police station.
The matter came to the fore after a victim Anil Devangon demanded a return of his money as he saw no progress in the employment procedure. According to the information given by the victim, the impostor had set up an office in Karsan Chamber, Devendra Nagar, and posed to be a Speaker of the Ahiwara Assembly of Congress. It is reported that Anil was sent to Jagdalpur and Sarangarh, where he was trained by the officials from Nagpur. However. Failing to receive further response suspicion took over the victim.
Apart from Anil who gave 2 lakh rupees for the post of a constable, Lavkhush Devangan a resident of Ahiwari Durg had given Rs 1.25 lakh in lieu of employment as a gratuity officer in the public works dept. Another individual named Ravi Sinha, a resident of Dhamtari was also promised employment in the public works dept for which he paid Rs 3.70 lakh.
Further details of the case are awaited as the investigation is underway.
