Dhamtari: In a tragic accident, a Bolero collided with a truck early morning resulting in the death of at least 10 family members on the spot. The accident has left several injured, including a child who was rushed to the hospital. The collision occurred in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtri district at the Kanker National Highway near Jagatra.
“As of now, it is not clear how the accident occurred and who broke the lane but the prima facie it seems the drivers of both the vehicles were unable to control their speed. It is a straight road”, said Jitendra Yadav, the Superintendent of Police, Balod district.
The family was traveling from Soram to Markatola in a Bolero car when the accident took place. The collision was so severe that 10 family members died on the spot, including one male occupants left beheaded.
The police have registered a case of accidental death and the process of register an FIR on. The police revealed that the truck driver, who fled the spot shall be booked for causing death due to negligence.
