Chhattisgarh: A CAF Jawan hasin Bhiragaon been charged under sections 376, 506, 34 of IPC and POCSO Act at the Durgukondal police station. A rape victim has filed a report alledging that she was lured to the house by the ward panch of the village and raped by an unknown person.
The accused jawan Rajkumar Singh resident of Ballia Uttar Pradesh of the 22 Battalion Chhattisgarh Armed Force is a Havildar in Bhiragaon. The police have also arrested the woman panch Savita Tandia, an associate accused in the incident. According to the information, the victim and the panch reside in the same colony and that the accused is regular visitor of the former.
The rape reportedly took place on October 26th and 27th, after which the victim started living silent, following which the matter came to light. Both the accused were produced in the Bhanupratappur court late in the evening from where both were sent to jail.
