Raipur: Minister BrijMohan Agrawal has countered Congress’ statements on the bonus issue, asserting that Congress’s job is to create confusion while governance is the actual responsibility. He accused the party of misleading the public, emphasizing that his government has indeed provided a two-year bonus to farmers.

Agrawal responded to Congress’s allegation of deceiving farmers by offering a bonus for one year in the name of two years. He clarified that the bonus is given for the same fiscal year it is intended for, refuting any fraudulent activities. The senior BJP leader pointed out that rules have been established even for deceased farmers, ensuring that their entitlements are duly addressed.

In a sharp retort, Agrawal questioned the Congress, stating that they have been in power for the past five years, and yet, they failed to provide the promised bonus during their tenure. He emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in governance, challenging the Congress to explain their actions during their tenure.

The bonus issue has become a focal point of contention between the ruling party and the opposition, with both sides presenting conflicting narratives. Brijmohan Agrawal’s strong response aims to clarify the government’s position and dismiss the accusations of malpractice.

As the political discourse intensifies, the bonus matter underscores the broader challenges in agricultural policies and the need for effective communication to bridge the gap between government actions and public perception. The ongoing exchange between the ruling party and the opposition reflects the intricacies of agricultural governance and the complexities involved in addressing the concerns of farmers, especially in the context of bonus disbursement.
