Raipur: Police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel discovered the dead body of Shekhar Banjare (26) from near the anicut in Kharun river who had gone to save his nephew.
Reportedly the Lakhan Lal Banjare (60) and Shekhar Banjare (26) had gone to save 15-year-old Harjeet Bharti their nephew who swept away while bathing in the river. The Incident took place in Murra village.
Police officer and regional MLA Anita Sharma, District Panchayat member Rakesh Yadav immediately reached the spot and engaged rescue teams. The operation began on Monday after there was no sight of the uncles and Hari.
