Raipur: After changing party affairs officer in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has now handed over charge of party affairs to former Rajya Sabha member and senior leader from Rajasthan Om Prakash Mathur.

This is the third major change the party has done within two months after Arun Sao was appointed as state president and Narayan Chandel as leader of the opposition in the assembly in August.

This decision by the party to replace D Purandeshwari is taken while BJP national President JP Nadda is in CG. A letter of the appointment was issued by BJP Gen Secretary which added that Nitin Naveen would still continue to be the co-in charge of the state.

Mathur has early been in charge of Gujrat and UP. He has also been a national pracharak of the RSS.
