Ghazipur: CM Bhupesh Baghel addressing a gathering in Ghazipur, UP slammed the Yogi Govt. Targeting the opposition fiercely Baghel said that the existing govt was incapacitant in solving problems, yet is experienced in creating one. He praised the people of UP, who have cast their poll unbiasedly.
Emphasizing farmers’ pleas for repealing of the three contentious farm laws, Baghel claimed the opposition failed to progress farmers, the severely backward, yet the most important society during the outbreak. Baghel also irked the opposition on unemployment issues and inflation.
The sixth phase of the UP polls is scheduled for March 3rd. Nearly 57 seats across 10 districts would undergo elections. The sixth phase would seal the fate of political heavyweights such as Yogi Adityanath and the Congress’ Ajay Kumar Lallua and Samajwadi Party’s Swami Prasad Maurya. Incumbent Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting from the Gorakhpur Urban seat, will make his state Assembly elections debut in the sixth phase of the polls.
With voting for 292 out of 403 assembly seats over, the polling has now moved to the Purvanchal region of the state where 111 seats are up for grabs. Ghazipur will undergo polls in the last phase, where 57 assembly constituencies across 10 districts of Purvanchal will be contested. All eyes are now trained on the final phase of the seven-phase polls before results will be announced on March 10.
