Bijapur: In a recent development of the Lok Sabha elections the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made some changes to its leadership in southern Chhattisgarh. Kiran Dev, who represents Jagdalpur has been appointed as the chief of the party in that region. At the time Kedar Kashyap, representing Narayanpur was given a position. This decision by the BJP has received support from party members in Bastar.
Expressing his happiness, Venkat, who’s in charge of Bastar affairs warmly welcomed this decision and extended congratulations to all residents of Bastar. Notably Kedar Kashyaps return to power and inclusion in the cabinet received praise from Venkat who emphasised the importance of respecting Bastar’s citizens’ mandate.
Additionally as part of this restructuring process Kiran Dev from Jagdalpur has been appointed as the state president of the party. Venkat applauded this move, highlighting how it reflects BJPs commitment to promoting leaders from backgrounds. Kiran Dev comes from a category background. Now holds responsibility for leading the party at a state level – an example of BJPs inclusive approach.
Venkat fondly recalled party presidents such as Nandkumar Sai and Vishnudeo Sai from communities as well as Dharamlal Kaushik and Arun Saw from OBC categories. Kiran Dev’s recent appointment as the state president demonstrates BJP’s commitment to ensuring diverse leadership representation across segments of society.
Venkat, who is responsible for Bastar also appreciates the reappointment of Kedar Kashyap, as a minister, seeing it as evidence of the BJPs thinking policies. He believes that Bastar, being predominantly tribal, will benefit from the indigenous perspective that Kashyap brings to the cabinet.
In conclusion, Venkat asserts that this strategic decision not only upholds the democratic aspirations of the people but also demonstrates the BJP’s commitment to the comprehensive development of Bastar. The move is seen as a nod to the region’s unique challenges, with a focus on safeguarding the fundamental rights of the tribal population, ensuring their holistic development.
