Baludabazar: The Baludabazar-Bhatapara region in Chhattisgarh has now earned a spot in the ‘Golden Book of World Records’ five times for its significant contribution to the group action campaign for the 2024 general elections. The ward attained two awards respectively, at such a time, the tremendous endeavors towards voter awareness and mobilization of this ward should be celebrated.
The Sweep Auto Awareness Campaign of Auto-rickshaw drivers was another recognition which involved making a body of 151 drivers who were subsequently led by the district collector, and used as tools to encourage other voters in the exercise of their voting rights. The other accolade was for the Sweep Deepav Ghanti Rally, where voters were invited to cast their votes after participating in an aarti ceremony.
The state representative of the Golden Book of World Records, Sonal Sharma, presented the certificates to the Collector, A.L. Chauhan, and the CEO of the district panchayat, Divya Agrawal, in the presence of the polling teams before their deployment.
Expressing his gratitude, Collector Chauhan attributed the success to the collective efforts of district officials, employees, voters, and journalists. He emphasized the significance of voter awareness campaigns in achieving such milestones and commended everyone for their dedication.
He addressed and congratulated the whole team while wishing them further success in the same noble deeds and urged them to remain active. The head of the election department emphasizes the critical role of employees there, voters, officials and public with the media in fixing a record for this game.
Acknowledging the trust that a district has in the idea of democratic participation is not the only recognition, but it also recognizes the success of local-based initiatives that help voters gain a lot in raising turnout and engagement.
