Balodabazar: Even while the Lok Sabha election in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district was going on, the authorities did not take any rest at night during the day to achieve a voter turnout of 100%. The women of the town, however, demonstrated remarkable efforts, which transformed itself into writing approximately two lakh postcards, and the district bagged the title of Balodabazar-Bhatapara in the World Records for the second time. The second award received under the leadership of Collector K.L. Chauhan is that the district is hailed for voter awareness in lower house elections.
This was, however, preceded by a tractor rally where female farmers belonging to YKSA and Scouts were mobilized; the Collector led the fight, and a 51 tractors convoy covered 25 kilometres and saw rural women farmers and Scout Guide children holding a voter awareness rally, which further earned them a position in the Golden Book of World Records.
Following these achievements, a continuous awareness campaign has been launched in the district. In a similar vein, women appealed for voting by writing two lakh one thousand postcards, contributing to the district’s recognition.
The State Assembly member from the Golden Book of World Records, namely Sonal R. Sharma, came by at Balodabazar to fortify the letters written by lady folk therein explained by her. Passing the test, she gave the awards of a Medal and a Certificate to the Collector of District K.L. Chauhan at the Pandit Chakrapani Shukla Higher Secondary School Ground.
Biphat of Balodabazar Bhatapara district has entered the Book of World Records the tenth time for the name record. My contribution was experienced before when the district was awarded for the cleanliness, helmet use awareness and Save the Girl Child signature campaign.
The collector Chauhan expressed his wholehearted gratitude towards all the officials and employees who were involved in rallies and seminars and even the women who wrote postcards in order to educate the undecided masses that they, too, can play their part in the decision-making for their country. He expressed his gratitude to them for their devotion where they strive very hard in order to create awareness and again make the district famous on a global map.
