RAIPUR: Bhupesh Baghel has been invited for the Hockey World Cup 2023 set to begin from January.
On behalf of CM Naveen Patnaik, Minister Rita Sahu, handed over the invitation to Bhupesh Baghel at his residence today morning.
Naveen Patnaik is inviting all Chief Ministers for the Hockey World Cup, which will be from January 13 to 29. A world-class celebration of hockey to commemorate the beginning of the mega event will be held on 11 January 2023 in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel participated in the program as the chief guest and unveiled the Hockey World Cup 2023 Trophy on December 24th. He lifted the Hockey World Cup trophy with the slogan ‘Chak de India’ and extended best wishes to India for victory in the upcoming world cup event.
Preparations for the world tournament are underway. Enforcement squads formed for FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup will don a special uniform and conduct patrolling in dedicated vehicles across the city to ensure the smooth conduct of the event next month.
