Raipur: In view of the rising episodes of online betting, CG CM Bhupesh Baghel has directed the DGP to take strict action against gamblers. The DGP has been directed to prepare a strategy to legally curb the increasing number of online betting platforms in the state.
As per reports, gambling in Raipur is on the surge through Mahadev App. Around 100 individuals are said to be associated the illegal betting.
It is worth noting that the Raipur police in a major feat a few days ago nabbed 23 bookies including two minors who were involved in betting through the Mahadev App. The accused were caught as the police swung into action acting on the tip-off received and caught them red-handed at a house under the Didinagar PS limits.
