Raipur: With the nationwide protests on the calendar by the INC, the party members in the state of CG have also revealed details of their protests.
As per sources close to the party, the demonstrations will start at 11 am with a sit-in demonstration at Ambedkar Chowk in Raipur. After addressing a meeting there, the people of the organization will gherao the Raj Bhavan.
It is being speculated that CM Bhupesgh Baghel, State party president Mohan Markam, MLAs and senior leaders will also participate in the gherao.
Congress will hold a massive nationwide protest on August 5th against the price rise and unemployment. According to sources, it has zeroed in on the “Five Point Protest” strategy, which includes a protest march from Parliament and ‘gherao’ of the PM’s residence in Delhi, to corner the government on unemployment and price rise issues.
According to the letter written by KC Venugopal to the party’s state units, it is going to raise the matter from “Sansad to Sadak”.
Rajya Sabha MP Venugopal, in his letter, said, “Taking our uncompromising protest against the record-breaking price rise and unemployment forward, the Congress party has decided to observe massive nationwide protest on August 5.”
On Tuesday, INC top brass held a meeting at the party HQs to discuss the preparations for the ‘mega protest’.
