Anti-Encroachment Drive in CG; 150 Shops Mowed Down

Mungeli, CG: The Mungeli Municipal corporation on Friday morning brought down slabs of around 150 shopkeepers that illegally occupied land that lead to traffic jam from Golbazar to Balani Chowk.

At around 11:30 AM on Friday, SDM Amit Kumar, the sub-divisional officer of Mungeli subdivision, along with the administration, police and municipality team carried out the demolition.

It should be noted that the unauthorized shops were given several notices earlier, however they took no actions which coerced the administrative authorities to conduct the encroachment dirve.
