Raipur. An alert has been issued in the state regarding the new variant of Corona. After the meeting chaired by PM on Saturday, the centre forwarded to the state. Since the detection of Omicron, global alert has been sounded, several nations have banned arrivals from infected regions while few of them have hardened restrictions.
Similarly, the central government has also sent guidelines to the states. As per the instructions hospitals have been informed to stay put with its staff and facilities, they have also instructed to increase sampling, testing and contact tracing. Along with keeping a special watch on those coming from outside, special monitoring has been ordered for all CMHOs and collectors. After the alert is issued in the state, now the list of passengers who have returned after travelling from abroad will be checked. The administration has appealed to the people who returned after travelling to 3-4 countries to quarantine themselves.
