Raipur: Citing the rising demands for admission in Swami Atmanand English medium schools, CM Bhupesh Baghel in a big announcement today increased the number of seats in the school to 50, from what were limited to only 40 students last year.

The announcement has come as a boon for the under privileged sectors of the state who are deprived of quality education.

Directing Dr Alok Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education & Chairman, Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, CM Baghel has issued a letter indicating the necessary administrative arrangements to be made in schools.

Currently the state govt runs 172 english medium Swami Atmanad schools. For the coming academic session, another 32 schools in Hindi medium will also be established officials had informed earlier.

Swami Atmanand English Medium School is a chain of english medium school established by Government of Chhattisgarh on 1 November 2020.The school is completely funded by Department of School Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. The education is free of cost till grade 8, afterwards there is a nominal fee till grade 12
