Kawardha: An uncontrolled truck hit the car hard near Pakaria forest under Mulmula police station of Janjgir. In this accident, 4 people including the bride sitting in the car died on the spot. The car was going from Pamgarh towards Akaltara. The family of Om Soni of Baloda was traveling in the car. Who was returning to Baloda after the marriage of his son Shubham in Shivrinarayan. During this time this accident happened. The truck driver has fled from the spot leaving the truck behind.
Om Soni, a prominent citizen of Baloda, had gone to Shivri Narayan yesterday with the wedding procession of his son Shubham and this morning he was returning to Baloda with his family members with his new daughter-in-law in the car. Then his car crossed Pakaria village and reached near the teak forest, during which a truck coming from Akaltara hit the car. The collision was so strong that the front part of the car met the back seat and 4 people including the daughter-in-law in the car died on the spot. It is also being told that another person also died while being taken to the hospital.
After the incident, smoke started coming out from the engine of the car. After receiving information about this incident, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. Efforts were made to save the people trapped in the car, but were not successful. After dial 112 was reached, the door of the car was somehow opened and all the dead were sent to Pamgarh Community Health Center for post-mortem. The truck driver has absconded after the incident, about which the police is busy gathering information.
