Raipur: The state witnessed a concerning rise in new Corona cases over the past 24 hours, with a total of 17 individuals testing positive. This marks a noticeable increase compared to recent trends, and has prompted health officials to urge renewed vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
The number of Corona infected people is increasing in Chhattisgarh. 17 new corona patients have been found in the state in the last 24 hours. In which 4-4 patients have been found from Raipur and Durg districts. Including the patients found so far, the number of active patients in the state has increased to 88.
According to the information received from the Health Department, 4577 samples of Corona were tested in the state on January 18. Out of which a total of 17 people have been found corona positive. During this period, the positivity rate of corona infection in the state was 0.37 percent. On Thursday, 4 each were identified from Raipur and Durg districts, 3 each from Bastar and Kanker, 2 from Bilaspur and one from Raigarh. With the addition of the new patient, the total number of active Corona patients in the state has now reached 88. Currently, the most active patients are in Bastar district, there are 18 active patients here.
The state government has responded swiftly to this development, issuing fresh advisories and ramping up testing and vaccination efforts. Contact tracing around the newly identified cases is also being prioritized to contain further spread.
For the public, this resurgence serves as a stark reminder that the pandemic is far from over. Continued adherence to safety measures, including mask-wearing, social distancing, and hand hygiene, remains crucial. Additionally, those experiencing even mild Covid symptoms should seek immediate testing and isolate themselves to prevent further transmission.
