Sukma: As many as 9 reward carrying Naxals surrendered before CRPF and police officer Maraiguda police station area of naxal dominated Sukma district on Wednesday. Warrants had been issued against these Naxals, and a bounty of Rs 1 lakh was declared official said ASP Gaurav Mandal, Second Command officer Saroj Kumar, Second Command officer Kumar Alok, SDOP Girija Shankar Sao, Shikhar Marawi, Rohit Shukla, Assistant Commandant of CRPF 217 Corps Prabhanshu Prabhakar said before whom the Naxals surrendered.
The surrendered naxals were reportedly involved in digging roads, vandalizing govt properties, raking security forces and illegally supplying ration to Maoists and major encounter in the Golapalli LOS under the police station Golapalli and Maraiguda area. Around 10 cases have been registered against those who surrendered, officials added.
