RAIPUR: With the second ODI between NZ and India scheduled in Raipur, black marketing of tickets for the match saw a sudden surge.

Acting on the complaints of black marketing of match tickets, ASP City Abhishek Maheshwari constituted a special team and nabbed nine.

Two out of them identified as Rahul Varyani (27), Akash Varyani (25), residents of Gandhi Chowk, Kurud in Dhamtari district, were detained while black marketing cricket match tickets near Katora Talab in Civil Lines area on Thursday night. Around 25 tickets were recovered from their possession.

Tanmay Jain (22), a resident of Pachpedi Naka, Sudharma Jain Vihar Colony, and Amandeep Singh (26), a resident of New Rajendranagar, near Mahaveernagar Gurudwara, were also caught selling tickets at an irrational price near Pachpedi Naka in Tikrapara area on Friday and 19 pieces of tickets were seized from their possession.

The total number of tickets seized in the search operation is close to 66.
