60th DGP-IG Conference: Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, will be on high alert for three days starting today as the 60th DGP-IG Conference is scheduled to be held in Naya Raipur from Saturday to November 30th. Today is the first day of this conference and senior officials are arriving at the airport this morning. Home Secretary Govind Mohan arrived in Raipur. Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Raipur last night. He was welcomed at the airport by several leaders, including the Chief Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also arrive in Raipur tonight.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Raipur today to attend the three-day 60th DGP-IG Conference in Naya Raipur. According to the schedule, he will arrive at Raipur Airport around 7:30 pm. From the airport, he will head directly to Naya Raipur M-01 Bungalow. After a night’s rest, he will participate in the DGP-IG Conference the next day, November 29th. The Prime Minister will attend the conference on November 29th and 30th. He will return to Delhi on the evening of November 30th.
A roadmap for building a safe India will be prepared at the conference.
The conference will be held on the theme “Developed India: Security Dimensions.” Union Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the conference. Topics related to internal security, LWE, women’s safety, and policing will be discussed. The objective is to review progress made in addressing key policing challenges and outline a visionary roadmap for building a “Safe India,” consistent with the national vision of a “Developed India.” Officers from across the country will also present at the conference.
Several security chiefs, including DGPs, COPs, IGs, ADGs, and IBs, have arrived in Raipur to attend the 60th DGP-IG Conference. All states will present their crime control efforts at the conference. A model state will be selected and common guidelines can be issued. Last year, in 2024, the DGP-IG Conference was held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and Prime Minister Modi participated. This prestigious event is being held for the first time in Chhattisgarh, which is being considered a major achievement for the state.
