Sukma: Police have stepped up attempts to free innocent tribals who have been imprisoned in Naxalite instances. In the 110 Naxalite cases in the area, SP Sunil Sharma told a press conference on Wednesday afternoon that 671 innocent tribals had been imprisoned. So far, 413 innocent tribals have been released after 60 cases have been resolved through the courts. 258 tribals will be released by December after the remaining 50 cases are heard in fast track courts. At the district level, a 10-member team led by Nodal Officer ASP Om Chandel and DSP Parul Garg is working on this.
On Wednesday, SP Sunil Sharma announced that 153 officers assigned to various police stations around the district, including Sukma TI and Akeshwar Nag, had been transferred. 1 sub-inspector, 9 ASI, 106 constables, and 36 assistant constables are among them. In the previous month, SP Sunil Sharma claimed, an operation of some form of a crackdown on marijuana Tskaron was carried out in the district’s Puspal and Kukanar station districts. When it comes to the station in-charges, the SP believes they should both be fired.
In charge of the police station, Puspal Subhash Choubey has been appointed as the new in-charge. Jivisha and the in-charge of the station Kukanar Chintagufa station in-charge Ashok Yadav has been promoted. Akeshwar Nag, the Kotwali TI, has been promoted to police station in-charge. In-charge of the police station in Chhindgarh Chhindgarh Sanjay Singh, the in-charge of the Chintagufa police station, has been transferred to Sukma. Kukanar has been assigned to Manish Mishra.
