SUKMA: Atleast 4-5 naxals have been injured in an encounter between security forces and the Maoists in Naxal dominated Sukma said officials today.
The incident took place near Banda-Kanhaiguda, when a team of DRG Jawans launched a maoist combing operations. SP Sunil Sharma confirmed the news of the encounter adding that a search has also been launched.
Earlier in the Naxals in Narayanour set ablaze a truck near Kapasi village on Narayanpur-Orchha road. As per sources, the vehicle was engaged at Amdani mines at the village. Around 8-10 naxals as per eye witnesses, chased away the conductor and the driver and lit the vehicle using diesel. Reportedly the naxals have been protesting the Amdani project and put up banners. In the banners they threaten to kill the people associated with Nikko company.
