Chattisgarh: Four personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died and three others were injured on early Monday morning after another CRPF jawan opened fire at them at a camp of the Central force in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district.

The incident is reported from Lingampalli village of the district, located around 400km from fort.According to sources, the firing opened at 3:45am today morning, at the camp of the 50th battalion of CRPFs.

The accused Jawan is identified as Reetesh Ranjan, who is reported to have used his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle. The incident was confirmed by Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P.

Nearly seven Jawans were greviously injured in the fratricide , and were immediately rushed to Bhadrachalam area hospital for treatment. While four amongst them succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as constables Rajmani Kumar Yadav, Rajib Mondal, Dhanji and Dharmendra Kumar. Accused jawan Ranjan has been taken into custody for interrogation. Moreover, the CRPF has ordered a court inquiry to probe the incident.
