Durg: The Durg police have nabbed four accused involved in the alleged attack on Sadhu’s in Charoda town under Bhilai police station limits.
‘Four arrests have been made based on the details extracted from the video that went viral after the incident took place. Around 30-35 are being interrogated to extract details of the incident,’ said Durg Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava.
Three men dressed as Sadhu were ruthlessly beaten on Wednesday in Charoda town on suspicion of being child pickers as they moved around the fair and distributed prasad amongst children.
A police team reached the spot after being alerted and took three victims to a local hospital. They were discharged after treatment as they had suffered only minor injuries, the SP said.
The victims were natives of Rajasthan though they were not carrying any identification documents, Pallava said while interacting with the reporters, adding that they were allowed to leave after questioning.
