Raigarh: The third day of the National Ramayan Festival organized by Chhattisgarh’s government at Ramleela Maidan is set to see several devotional performances based on Ramkatha by Ramayan troupes from 12 states of the country including Kerela, Karnataka, Odisha, Assam, Goa, UP, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh. International participations are also there from troops belonging to Cambodia and Indonesia.

Famous singers Shri Lakhbir Singh Lakha and Baba Hansraj Raghuwanshi performed on stage based on the instances from life of Shri Ram. As they performed, the whole area echoed acclamations for Lord Ram. Singer Lakhbir Singh insisted the audience to sing with him, while a performance from Hansraj delighted the audience.

Sharing an update from the festival, CM Baghel tweeted, “Third day of National Ramayan Festival”.

Inaugurating the festival on Thursday for the first time, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said that “Lord Shri Ram spent a significant period of his exile, ten years, in Chhattisgarh, forging a deep connection with the state”.

Eminent Hindi poet Kumar Vishwas will conclude the festival on the last day as he will extol the glory of Lord Shri Ram with his special performance at Apne-Apne Ram Musical Night.
