Bijapur: Security forces in Chhattisgarh have achieved a major success. Once again, a large number of Naxalites have surrendered to the police. Influenced by the government’s important initiative, the Poona Margem, and the rehabilitation policy currently underway in villages, 34 Naxalites surrendered today. A total reward of 8.4 million rupees was announced on these individuals.

It should be noted that a total of 824 Maoists have surrendered to the police since 2024. So far, 1,079 Maoists have been arrested in 2024, and 220 Maoists have been killed by security forces in various encounters.

The Naxalites surrendered before CRPF DIG BS Negi, Superintendent of Police Dr. Jitendra Yadav, Additional Superintendent of Police Ulandon York, DSP Sharad Jaiswal, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vineet Sahu, and other officials. Bijapur SP Dr. Jitendra Yadav stated that all 34 surrendered Maoists were involved in incidents such as firing, IED blasts, and arson. All Maoists who surrendered to the police were given 50,000 rupees in cash.
