Raipur: Many projects are being worked on in South East Central Railway for infrastructure development, in which the fourth railway line project between Bilaspur-Jharsuguda is an important project. Bilaspur Jharsuguda is a busy railway route, which connects this entire region to North and South India. The fourth railway line is being constructed to make the operation on this route even more smooth. This will increase the capacity as well as the punctuality of trains on this route. Out of the 206 km fourth railway line under construction between Bilaspur and Jharsuguda, construction work of more than 150 km of railway line has been completed so far.
Non-interlocking work will be done from 31 August to 15 September 2025 to connect Raigarh station under the fourth rail line project between Bilaspur-Jharsuguda in South East Central Railway. More than 150 km of work has been completed in this 206 km project, which will increase the punctuality and capacity of trains.
During this time, 29 express and passenger trains will remain canceled, including trains like Tatanagar-Bilaspur, Pune-Santragachi, and Kurla-Kamakhya. Six trains, such as Howrah-Pune Duronto, will run via diverted route (Jharsuguda-Titlagarh-Raipur). Five trains, such as Gondia-Raigarh Jan Shatabdi, will terminate at Bilaspur itself.
